| Working within the shape of the wood, whether it is a simple blank of wood, a split log or a twisted raw branch, I try to squeeze as much of the raw idea into the piece as I can. Sometimes I already have the idea and I just need the right piece of wood and sometimes the wood dictates the theme. I have no steadfast ideology about the creative process. I just grab hold and hang on. |
