Rush Seating

The wrapping of hand twisted cattail reed and
other natural "grasses" (Natural Rush) or the more
modern machine twisted paper (Fiber Rush) in
a figure "eight" around the frame of a chair.

The pattern drops towards the back and is more comfortable to sit on.

Paper Rush done in another type pattern.
The pattern starts as a regular rush pattern but is then woven from
side to side then from front to back leaving a straight weave on the seat.
